The first incident of domestic violence is recorded in Genesis 4. Cain allowed anger to control him and he killed his brother, Abel. Few things are more unsettling than trouble in the family. When the people you love are hurt by others or hurting others, it can be overwhelming. Our counselors value family and have personally walked through many seasons of life. With God’s help we do not have to live in anger or fear. It is comforting to know there is hope. God wants peace in all our family relationships.
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12
Our desire is to come alongside those with family challenges. Many times an objective perspective is regained and the destruction decreases. Reconciliation and restoration are at the heart of our counseling as we depend upon God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to grant wisdom and favor.
“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4
“However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Ephesians 5:33
“If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” Mark 3:25
